Usually the person who shoots first decides the tempo. Sydney was pretty much saying if I shoot first you are gonna have to make all your shots because I'm gonna make all mine.
shareI even took that to mean one more thing over and above what has been previously mentioned. In the event that both were to have successfully netted 5 shots each, Sidney would have won regardless. Don't ask me why I have come up with this explanation, but from the time "that line" was announced, that was my immediate impression.
