Loved this as a kid!

I haven't seen this movie in like 20 years, but I'll never forget how much I loved it as a child. It came out when I was 10.

I'm pretty sure they didn't intend this as a kids movie ;)

It speaks to the quality of the film that a movie clearly made for adults can be so appreciated by someone younger. What kid normally wants to sit through an adult movie? (Unless it's an action/adventure movie)

I bet you all have stories about that kind of thing too, and I'd love to hear it. What was your favorite "adult movie" as a child?

I will always think fondly of this film, and honestly it's high time for a re-watch. Curious to see how it's held up, actually.

So many. My love and fasciation for movies began when I was 8 years old (when this movie came out)... Thank God I had understanding parents who supported my love of film. They used to drop me off at the theater anytime they were going to the mall, the grocery store, wherever. They even taught me to buy a ticket to a children's movie and then just go watch whatever I wanted. My favorite around this time was Fried Green Tomatoes, but I even have bragging rights that I saw Whispers in the Dark and Sliver on the big screen (while still in elementary school). I rented this one on VHS though and loved it.

I saw it theatrically & figured this was where 90's comedy was headed. Until physical slapstick took over the world.
I hadn't seen it since VHS days, bought the bluray couple years ago. I forgot the ending with Gloria leaving, that was a fun surprise.
