a few questions-

I didn't get the heroin scene with Ted and Greg at the end. Did Ted purposely give Greg enough heroin to kill him? If so, why??

Also, I know his part was really more of a cameo than anything, but why didn't Christian Slater get a film credit?

I really liked this film...

I don't think that Ted wanted to kill Greg, but give him something else to use and come to him for. My thought has always been this when Greg goes back to Ted's after he was picked up by the cops and pretty much turned King in, was that he committed suicide out of guilt and shame and realized that Ted was out for himself and himself only and it was King who truly cared about him and he was going to send him to jail for something that he thought he committed.

I'm not sure, but I think that the reason why Christian Slater didn't have any billing is because his mother was part of the casting.

re: query Christian Slater credit...

I heard somewhere that it goes against SAG union rules to do a movie role for free (which sometimes happens, because the actor loved the role so much, or as a favor, etc), so as long as they aren't officially credited, it doesn't break the rules... Might be the case in this situation.

I've watched this many times and have often pondered this point, though it seems to have been left purposely ambiguous.

I have a few ideas:

In the scene where Ted pretends to comfort Greg saying he did the right thing by talking to the cops and saving himself - Ted is looking super psycho and as if he has a tough decision to make. In my opinion he assumes Greg is too weak and a liability to his business, when he gets busted next time then who will he nark on?

Whether Ted gave him a "hotshot" or just a dosage he knew Greg couldn't handle is anyone's guess.

I also wondered how on earth Ted could have dragged Greg's body by himself in broad daylight and lift him into a dumpster without anyone noticing.

Wait... it's been awhile, but didn't Greg "help himself" (steal) Ted's stash and that's how he OD'd?

I remember Greg's thing was speed and he was new to heroin so his tolerance would have been relatively low. And if dosing himself, it would be easy to assume just because his speed tolerance was high, he should do a greater amount of other drugs as well.

^^^^That's exactly what I thought.^^^^

I too, wondered how he got Greg to/into the dumpster.
