Which ending do you prefer?

The first 'sad' ending?

The Scooby-Doo ending, with Old Man Withers ("And I would've gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for you snoopin' kids")?

Or the actual 'happy' ending?

the actual happy ending because I love movies with happy endings

The Scooby-Doo ending was the funniest though.

I remember thinking it looked really painful when they ripped the mask off since it was a real face. The effect seemed pretty good.

Did they do those endings to spoof the video release of Clue?

The apocalyptic ending is good. The music when Wayne carries Garth out of the ruins of his house and the sky in the background gave it a post-apocalyptic feel.

The background always made me think of the pictures on fireproof boxes. The one I remember essentially looked like a knockoff of the poster for Backdraft. I think there might actually be a bit of a Gone with the Wind look to the background of that scene!

The sad ending was very well done, but would have been too much of a downer to end on.

The Scooby Doo ending was just too much and too dumb.

The happy ending is the best, even with the dumb fish ears moment which Rob Lowe's character surprisingly seems to like lol.

Just watched this again, and still like it very much, though I would have cut out the multiple ending gag, and just left in the happy ending.

I hope a part three is made, and is close to as fun as this one! They could really play on the latest technology trends and brands, like Apple, Twitter/Tweeting, Facebook. I think even that some of the same style of humor from the first two movies would be a smart way to go, but with a slight difference.

I'd be curious if Wayne and Garth would still be doing the show. Realistically they could have 5 year old grandchildren by now, that could be an interesting dynamic. Maybe they could do a scenario where the kids suggest to their parents to rebuild the studio for Grandpa Wayne. A reunion would come across a little too Blues Brothers though, so might need to go another direction.

Maybe it could have Wayne and Garth as sell outs. You know they sold out so they could end up with their loves (Wayne and Cassandra, Garth and either the dream girl, D'abo, or someone else, or maybe no one,) and they have some what pride over it but they miss the freedom of the old life and show.

Cassandra either makes it huge or was a one hit wonder, regardless she brings the bread in. Garth it would depend on his situation. He could be a TV guy on a tech or music channel or like O'Neil's guy in a resturant.

Eventually something happens and they say "hey let's try it again," and they get the help of either their kids/grandkids, or tech nerds and they start a vlog or you tube show and find their old niche and make new fans. Cassandra doesn't approve but things get going again and then the plot starts.

IDK it could be fun to see what would happen.

those alternative endings being a part of the actual movie can really become tiresome as this movie airs frequently in my country, i think the final ending they decide on were the best of course, but mike myers' first "austin powers" movie has a much better ending featured on the dvd bonus material and is not a part of the actual movie which also airs alot by the way, mike myers should really make another sequel to either of these movies, just think of what name recognition or cult status these movies have now, i used to think the austin powers flicks would just keep coming. the guy (i think they called him ron) with the vacuum on garth's hair looks like the crazy guy from "the producers" (1968), look at that giant phone lowe is ordering food in, technology sure can age movies fast, and like a snob like the guy he's playing would order some of the famous brands he mentions... right. what a loss of opportunity to give a riot funny man chris farley only such a minor part, but i guess it was his debut after all.
