Difference in UK DVD releases?

Apparently the 2001 release has:

Teaser Trailer
Trailer
The Making Of Universal Soldier
Behind The Scenes Footage
Director And Scriptwriters Commentary

The 2008 release has:

Featurette: Guns, Genes & Fighting Machines
UK Theatrical Trailer
Alternative Ending
A Tale of Two Titans

It looks like the older release is better. Can someone tell me what "Featurette: Guns, Genes & Fighting Machines" and "A Tale of Two Titans" is?

Which DVD do you think is better? Why wouldn't they have the making on the new release?

Looks like the 2008 UK version has a lot of the same stuff as the 2004 US Special Edition.

Which I have, so I can answer this part:

Can someone tell me what "Featurette: Guns, Genes & Fighting Machines" and "A Tale of Two Titans" is?

The first is a short (under twenty minutes) making-of documentary and the second consists of biographical information about and interviews with Van Damme and Lundgren.

Does the 2008 UK version not have the Audio commentary that was in the previous release?

The 2004 US Special Edition does. I don't have the 2008 UK edition.

(I don't know whether this question is directed at me, but I'm answering because it's posted in reply to me.)

Its worth noting that the earlier UK release contains a full bitrate DTS track... if you like that kind of thing.
