Excellent Movie - Universal Soldier (1992) Discussion

This movie had a lot of potential. Watching the first 5 minutes make you think it is going to be a lot better than it turns out. I'd say the worst part is that the director allowed Van Damme to walk around naked for one scene - no one needs to suffer through that.

This is by far the best Dolph Lundgren movie there is. He was absolutley brilliant in the movie. What a freaking Spazz huh?? tee hee hee. The best part is when he's throwning gernades at the bus that Van Damme and that chick are driving, and he's screaming like a mad man, what a nut. I LOVED IT!!!!

Heh, this film's on five in 10 minutes (British tv) and i've seen it many times... really good movie =)

My plans (like you care anyway) are watching this, then watching Still Game on BBC1 cos it totally kicks ass, then i'll be watching a pirated copy of Shrek 2 =P

Hey, what about us 'chick-flick' hater chicks? We want some eye candy too!

I can't believe it took me this long to watch this, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. It's definitely the best action/comedy/sci-fi movies that I've seen. Lundgren, Van Damme and Walker were hilarious!

Listen! Do you smell something?

best part of the movie by far is the scene where Van Damme is eating in the diner and gets asked whether he can pay for the food or not...the fight which goes on after that is classic, very funny scene. Van Damme beats up a few rednecks then starts eating again, beats up a few more and continues to eat.

Classic cheese scene!

my favorite part of the movie is when lungren is dragging the two big guys in the supermarket and asks the little kid where the freezer is

I also dig his voice in this. It's totally fcking brutal "I'm all ears", or when he says "FCKING TRAITORS, YOU'RE ALL FCKING TRAITORS", or when he's in the store dragging his buddy with him to the freezer and says "I'm ready to KISS ASS!! OR KICK ASS!! That entire scene in the grocery store was classic!!!

Excellent? No.
I gave it a 6. I wouldn't have given it that much if it wasn't for Ally Walker (and she's the one that should've been naked ).

A great all round movie, the only let down is Ally Walker. I dislike movies when they have reporters bugging around the main actor through out the movie.
Just kill all the reporters in your way and get on with it!
