Goblin 2? George Hardy is signed on. Is this the sequel?

George Hardy is signed on to a movie called Goblin 2, set for release in 2016. Could this be the sequel? If so, brilliant title. Way better than "Troll 2, Part 2".

In an even more brilliant stroke, perhaps the real title still is "Troll 2, part 2", but they're producing it under the title "Goblin 2", just as Troll 2 was produced under the title "Goblin".

Anybody hear anything about this movie?

the real risk is them 'trying' to be ridiculous. That's not what makes the original Troll 2/Goblin so endearing. They were trying to be serious but messed it all up. The public won't be entertained by something that is 'trying too hard to be silly' because the 'authenticity' is gone.

The sad reality is that they will need a really good SCRIPT and DIRECTOR to make a film that captures the 'fun' of Troll 2, but do it intentionally (But not make it seem obvious).

I'm pretty sure Claudio Fragasso (the creator of Troll 2) is the one who wanted to do the sequel and he's angry about how people laugh at the movie so he'd probably make the sequel in the same way he made this one

He DOES seem TRULY delusioned (like an Ed Wood) so it might work! hahahahah
