Alternative ending?
What's the alternative ending to this?
shareRaymond lives, he's shot in the leg by Vince who makes his escape in the BMW with Bradlee. They eventually turn the gold in to the cops.

Although I like the original ending over the alternative one described here, I still think it ended too abruptly, and was a major let-down compared to the rest of the movie.. it almost looked like they ran out of film or something, and just decided to end it right there.. Ice Cube wasn't completely killed off, and there were plenty of gang-members left, that we didn't see finished off (Glenn Plummer, T.E. Russell and Tom Tiny Lister's characters, among others).. and what's up with Bill Paxton/Vince just running off like that.. did he make it out of the hood, did the cops arrive, and where the hell did Bradlee go with all that gold.. it just left too many questions unanswered, and both final shootouts were lame.. all four guys shooting each other like that? Was that the best the script-writers could come up with? wtf..
For the first 3/4 of the movie, I'll give it 9/10, but the ending is only worth about 6/10, tops.. overall I gave this movie a 8/10 as a whole.
...who kill Raymond and Bradlee and take the gold for themselves, retiring to Cabo and partying with Sammy Hagar.
That end would've sucked big-time.
