...films today take themselves too seriously.

I like most of it but the finale just kills all the good stuff before the ending. The action is well shot and Paxton, Sadler, and Evans make a good trio of good guys. I just never liked the ending and the idea of them being trapped in one room kind of ruined what potential bigger action set pieces the movie could have had but Trespass does sport one of the finest black cast it just a shame most of them are playing ruthless thugs but damn if they didn't do it good.

Actually ONLY 2 WERE real thugs in real life. Those 2 being Ice-T and Ice Cube, well the verdict is still out whether Cube was a REAL thug but it is documented that Ice-T really lived the life. All the other guys were ACTORS.

Yeah, real thugs. And nowadays, one makes family comedies, and the other plays a cop on tv.

I know you didn't just bring up Judgement Night.
And yeah, I'm pretty convinced that both films took place on the same night.

I felt how great life would be if it were a double feature and Judgement Night had played after.

Oh, I didn't mean the same exact night, I just meant that all though in different states and probably even a different time period, I can totally see these movies being associated. By associated, I mean they take place in the same world.

Plus, they both have that feel of taking place over a very short span of time, involve a game of cat and mouse, and are hilariously entertaining.

Only parts, so I went and rented it on Amazon a few days later. I got home from work the other night, got a cheesesteak and fries, popped open some beer and wine, started a fire, and watched this flick. Good times. I completely agree, we need more movies like this. I miss them. I remember watching stuff like this inmy early teens just thinking they were the sh!t.

So ironic boys , I watched this and judgement night one after another on DVD !! Thinking how much I too miss films like these . Anyone that Hates this film knows nothing ,,, I have seen thousands of films and this is top 50 for me ;) same with jn

I just reviewed this if you're interested. Now I just gotta find Judgement Night. I was surprised I couldn't find it on Amazon Prime.
