as Judgement Night? Maybe there is even some kinda loose connection between the two. Maybe the guy who betrayed King James was with the gang in Judgement Night. Maybe the gangs were partners in crime. Even if there wasn't a connection, I feel like these movies take place in the same universe.

Not a bad way of thinking. After all, King James' gang were in Illinois, the same state that Judgment Night took place. Plus, the movies are really similar.

They really do have a similar feel. They both take stereotypes, factor in paranoia, and make for an entertaining action/thriller. Add in the whole normal guys vs gang and they feel like they're going on in the same movieverse.

Trespass takes place in St. Louis.
Though Trespass is like a hybrid of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Assault on Precinct 13, I explicitly link it with Judgment Night.
I think they'd make for a fantastic out-of-their-element suburban guys vs. gangsters in an urban warzone double-bill.
