I can't believe the Harvard Razzie about this movie or Mel Griffith. Its a great movie in the vein of Dances With Wolves and Witness. A good look into a culture among us which most of us knew nothing about. I've watched it several times and really like it. Griffith, Pankow, Pollan, Sara and of course James Gandolfini - he had it in his first real video role and he had it to the end. And those who played the 'tribe' members - FANTASTIC. bravo, Bravo, BRAVO.

I see it more as Sydney Lumet craft lifts this movie up to be more than the sum of its parts. The love story and murder mystery don't go anywhere. The whole self discovery arc needed more time to develop along with some of the supporting characters.
