Random Things...

This film, was terrible. Now that I have that out of the way there are a few things that didn't add up. Granted, I was St0n3d at the time here are a few.

Dick ran into the room and Stone told him to come back but instead he was shot in the stomach with a shotgun and blown out the window from a 10 storey apartment. Next scene after the shootout with Stone and the Monster, we see Stone wake up and punch Dick in the eye. WTF, he was shot and blown out of a high window...

There are scenes where Stone is in Prison and he is going crazy shaking the bars and such, next scene he walks over to a policeman that gives him a gun???

Dick was massacred by the Demon/Monster/Alien/Venom/Satan with a Map cut into his chest. A few scenes later they are walking through the sewers t1t deep in poluted water. That's gotta be good for a wound.

Throughout the movie the monster is shot and it runs off with no qualms, at the end its shot and it's blown into chunks?

Yes, the script is a bit strange. :/

The film is not terrible, it is a low budget tongue in cheek good laugh. It will never win any awards, but it doesn't set out to. If you want to see a terrible film, then watch Ultraviolet or Van Helsing or Underworld 2, as they are truely awefull films.

To answer your questions:

1) He wasn't shot out of a 10 story appartment (I assume you mean the 10th floor). Stone's appartment was quite low down, you do see the number on the wall by his appartment, but I haven't seen the film in years so can't remember what floor he was on. Also you never see what Dick landed on. Probably water as the city was flooded. May have been a balcony or fire escape for all we know. Considering shotguns don't actually blow you out windows like that, I guess they threw physics out of the window like usual.

2) Stone had just awoken from a nightmare and was a little adrenaline fueled. He obviously tok some time to get dressed and calmed down.

3) Massacared? Dick was alive and well. And so what if the polluted water is bad for his wound? Isn't tracking down an 8 foot tall alien/demon pretty bad for your health too?

4) The monster is never shown to be shot. It is always moving to fast. Dick claims to have hit it in the with his little .38, and Kim Catrell may have hit it in Stone's appartment. But that is completly different to what they do to it at the end. After it was electrocuted, it was then shot by two people using weapons that fire 600 shotgun rounds a minute, and at very close range. Can you see the slight difference there ;) Fire a .38 at a car, and it won't do much damage. Then fire a few hundred shotgun rounds at it and see the damage it does.

Try watching films without being stoned, you may learn to enjoy them ;)

Stone's apartment is on the fourth floor, and the shooting happens in an apartment on a floor downstairs from that. Dick later tells us that he was wearing a bullet-proof vest.

Stone was not in prison, ya doof. He was in the police station where, for some unexplained reason, the cops had to check their weapons before entering the office. (Maybe all the cops got along as well as Stone did with Pete Postlethwaite)

Sewage and open cuts... Yeah, that's just disgusting.

And when the creature finally dies, it's because Stone has pulled out its heart. Since it eats its victim's hearts, we are supposed to understand that its heart is where its power lies. Or something.

I was stoned too, but...
