I saw this movie in March 2003, I remember it well. I always liked Rutger Hauer and I thought a movie with him can't be too bad. And it wasn't. He made it worth watching as always. Kim Cattrall was also fine. In comparison to other films in this genre, the so-called "B-films", this really could've been a lot worse. Have you tried watching "The Patriot" with Seagal? Its absolute crap! Not to mention Chris Lambert and his awful action movies.

I agree. This film was very underrated. I have it on VHS, but I haven't watched it for a long time. Hopefully a Widescreen Special Edition DVD of "Split Second" will get released in stores for a reasonable price someday. Then again, considering its low budget, I highly doubt this film would get a Special Edition.
