If you love tongue in cheek humour, over the top characters, hilarious lines and just a good hour and a half of brain shutdown with popcorn and beer it's perfect.
Oh and they've got big guns.

"Attention! Monster ashore at Manhattan Beach, heading to the amusement area."

Having watched a third of the movie, I can say that this is something that you watch if you want to die laughing. Rutger Hauer's character is such a a$$h0le to everybody and everything, it's awesome. Just a few minutes in, he flashes his badge at a rottweiler and says, "Police, d!ck head." Oh, it's so awful, it's great.

I think it's quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. I only came to the imdb page out of morbid curiosity.
