We need more positive movies like south central

We need more positive movies like south central. The part of Ali played by Carl Lumbly was so touching, sincere, and genuine. He actually made Bobby Johnson change his life for the better. Nurse shelby brought out emotions in Bobby jr. Emotions Bobby didn't know he had in him just by a mere act of kindness of nurse Shelby playing ping pong and spending quality time with him, time that his own mother never gave him.

It's the simply things that counts in life that we need to express in our Movies, our music and in our everyday lives.

This is truly a must see movie!

I give it a 10 & A+

Outstanding!

...South Central is indeed so very touching.

How people can rate Boys N The Hood or Menace II Society higher than it is beyond me. All three movies are great, but SC certainly has more of a plot than the other two. They're all classics, but BNTH and MIIS are more like documentaries(which is a good filming technique in itself), whereas SC has more story than violence, and more cinematic, manipulating effects, that can(and does) draw the viewer to tears.

I really liked Bobby's speech at the end. It wasn't Shakespearian, it was true to his background and level of education, but it spoke from the heart of compassion and reason, not hate and violence. I loved Plummer's performance. You can see the 'evil' or 'hate' in his eyes gone when he changes. That is why the parole board granted him parole. You can truly see ... he is a different man than before. I think it's his eyes. Plummer's performance is that his eyes have no hate, they look almost innocent. There is no anger in that man's face any more. A very NICE performance. I thought it was pretty darned good acting from Plummer (who played Bobby).

Dr. Kila Marr was right. Kill the Crystalline Entity.
