Even though "ray-ray"helped kill "gene lamp" he wind up looking like him 10 years later....lolol

Ray became just as corrupt as Genie was (despite his preachings to protect his neighborhood). Hell, Ray/Bear carried themselves exactly like Genie/Bodyguard.

i always assumed that was the plan because he used bobby, loco, and the rest of the gang to get him there.

Wow, I never thought about that. He became Genie Lamp, actually worse. Genie wasn't using kids to do his dirty-work. Not yet anyway. And to our knowledge Genie didn't kill civilians. We don't see Ray-Ray kill any but he had no qualms about letting Jimmy do it for revenge.
