i dunno why but its been one of my favorites for years. its short, and the acting is lame but its still a good movie!

I like it as well. I found a copy of it on dvd and bought it a few weeks ago. Tried to get my husband to watch it but I don't think he saw the appeal(lol)

I've always been concerned at the criticism this film has received. I still don't understand why it is so ridiculed. It is a very fun b-movie and the acting isn't bad at all. This is one of my favourite horror films. How can you dislike a film where Ron Perlman gets his fingers broken and screams in extreme close-up or a cop who gets a corn cobb stabbed in the back.

I did too. I watched it many years ago and it still haunts me to this day...it's creepy and sticks with you. It's very risque and makes people squeamish with the subject matter; i think that's why it gets such a low grade on the board.

I respect your opinions and stuff, but for me, personally - this is one of the worst movies ever created. It's so bad, I simply can't find the words to express it's ineptness.

"...find Terrence not guilty, or else he'll kill you."

I watched it for the first time tonight. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either.
When the guy got his hand snapped off, I kinda yelled out "ewwww. ugh!", and woke up mum, and she wanted to know "wtf was going on". She thought it was gross, too.
I've seen worse Stephen King movies...like "Cujo". Now that one sucked. And so did "The Tommyknockers".

I dont understand how people can't love this movie? I mean everyone is entitled to their opinions and I respect that, but come on! This movie is sooo cheesy, how can you not love it?

I actually enjoyed it too. Whilst it's not exactly The Shining, it certainly is entertaining, and is a nice length to watch without getting bored or distracted, or to fit into a busy schedule
