I can't turn the channel!!!

Every time this movie comes on, I MUST watch it. I don't think it's great, but there's something that is very compelling about it. Everytime, I almost hope...yearn that Charles will stand up to his mother and end up with Tanya. I just feel like there was so much potential for this to be a better, more in-depthed movie. I wish we understood the history of these creatures, and specifically the mother/son team. What happened to Dad Sleepwalker? Why are they separated from their kind? Are they human of somekind? What does Charles really feel for Tanya? (Presumably, it was a little more than just lust). Oh...these questions will never be answered...and my dumb A$$ is compelled to watch it.

Oh, yeah, also can anyone tell me where this movie is filmed? Does the location look familiar to anyone? Thanks!
