What/Who played the song "Speedster". It's the bit where the cop is chasing Charles?

I believe it is the band Extreme. The same band who did "More Than Words" if you remember that song.

I'd rather know the name of the song that is played at least three times during the movie - the mother and son are dancing to it several times.

The song that they danced is called Sleep Walk performed by Santo & Johnny

The Extreme song featured during the police chase sequence is called "It's a monster" and is in their Pornograffitti CD.
