This movie must have inspired Twilight.

In fact it's one of Stephanie Meyers's favorite movies and was a major influence for the Twilight novels and movies.

Anyone believes both this and Twilight are similar?

Both do deal with "different" kinds of vampires who aren't like Dracula's creatures but of different myths. Both have ancient vampire teenboys like Charles and Edward Cullen who are a little similar as they have odd vampire mothers, both deal with weird going-ons in a small town, both have high school girls who Tanya and Bella are almost alike as they fall in love with the weird vampire boy who have similar powers but some differences except that Edward doesn't go around Fkng his mother.

It is like Twilight but is more darker version.More like if Edward decided to take a bite out of Bella when they are in the meadows instead of forming a relationship.

OMG I totally thought this too. Especially the weird, creepy scene in the graveyard, where they were being all intense and lovey dovey right before he tried to soulsuck/rape her. I thought her instant infatuation with him (including her intrigue about his short story where she sympathises with the monsters who 'feed on virtue') were eerily like Bella. Total obsession/stalker thing going on between them both, very similar to Twilight, except I think Stephanie Meyer may have missed the point (that they are actually dangerous monsters).
