Like I posted earlier they didn't want to make their new home a crime scene like they had perviously done. I think they figured they could get one or two more virgins before they had to move away again. As far as the teacher I think they didn't go after him because he wasn't a virgin and was male and they only go after female virgins. Of the victim they had killed earlier in the film and Tanya, both were female and in their late teens so maybe age plays into it as much as gender in some way that isn't exactly aparant.
With respect to the full length mirror, you have to consider the fact that they never had company over (as evidenced by the way Charles acted when Mary invited Tanya to enter the house.) Also, I always thought by the look of the house that they were renting it and it came furnished with all that. Logistically speaking, the way they left their previous location they wouldn't have had the opportunity to rent a Uhaul, put down a deposit, pack, and then return it. If they did, it would've been easier for police in the last town they were in to track them. I think they just got the most remote place they could and it just so happened it was furnished with old furniture and had that mirror there. Due to the fact they hadn't been in town long and probably weren't planning to be, it wasn't to high on their list of priorities.
