Is Stephen King a cat lover?

This is the second movie based on King's writings where cats are the "hero." The other one is "Cat's Eye," where the cat saves Drew Barrymore from a troll. Does anyone know if he owns and/or loves cats?

he probably does because there's cats in lotssss of his books and movies... pet cemetary anyone? lol

Don't forget about Tales from the Darkside where a black cat is apparently an angel of vengeance. The black cat even steals someone's breath from them.

I just watched this and noticed he seems to use cats quite often... maybe he is a cat lover.

His short story The cat from hell has a much more negative depiction of a cat, though!
