This movie literally changed my life

I was in a very place back in 1992. I was a troubled teen and had already tried to end my life a few times. I spent most of my 17th year in a mental hospital for teens. I didn't grow up going to church except for maybe a few times at Easter. I had met a few friends in high school who were religious in different faiths such as Catholic and Morman. I actually spent a year at a Catholic school and to this day have no idea why. When I ask my parents they just shrug. My parents are not even Catholic!!! lol Anyway, I went to church with them a few times so at the time I was searching for God in some form.

As a kid and teen, I always listened to the "oldies" so I was very familiar with songs like "My Guy" and "My boyfriends back". When I saw this movie I couldn't believe that songs about God could actually be something I could enjoy. I mean when I thought of church music I thought of an organ and boring music that made no sense what so ever. I got the soundtrack of this movie and played it nonstop. I felt something inside me just stir and started listening to local stations that played religious music. I found one that didn't play the usual hymns and soon I found myself enjoying music by Michael W. Smith and Stephen Curtis Chapman. I used babysitting money to buy Christian music cds. Not long after that, I met my husband who is a Christian and our second date was to church. We married not long after that and still married over 25yrs later.

I'm curious if this movie turned anyone else on to Christian music or towards God? I can't be the only one.
