Taking Prikal Orders meaning?
When Whoopi is complaining about the nun food she asks if they "are taking Prikal orders?" What does that mean? Probably obvious, I just dont get it

shareIt's a joke. She asks if these nuns are a "Pritikin order". Pritikin is a famous diet/weight loss plan named for it inventor Nathan Pritikin.
shareAah I never got that before thanks!
Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

This joke is actually right on target. Years ago I had a friend who was on the Pritikin diet, and he had all kinds of foodstuffs put out by the Pritikin company. One of them was chicken soup, and I tried it...whoa! That stuff is nasty! It had absolutely zero salt in it and it tasted hideous. I always laugh at Whoopi's Pritikin joke as it is so accurate.

I don't know exactly what it was, but it looked like the 'ale-bread' in the movie Babette's Feast, which was stale bread soaked in water and then boiled in beer until it turned into a brown, gloppy mess.
shareOh yes I get it. Thanks, that went right over my head.
