love? lust? my imagination?

idk about u but i think that theres something going on between "Sister Mary Clarence" and Sister Mary Robert? in the scene where Sister Robert goes into Sister Clarence's room to give her the flower thingy..it just seemed awkard and like they like each other. maybe im just imagining it all lol

yes you are imagining it all, a conversation counts as sexual tension, you need to get out more

reply

LOL NO!!

Mary Robert is just really shy... that's what they were getting at I think :) Because then later on Dolores brings Mary Robert out of her shell and stuff :)

I thought this topic was going to be about Dolores and Liutenant Salva (sp?)!! If I was Dolores I would have fallen in love with him... hehe...yeah I'm a loser :P

reply

Arghh, I can't even believe you asked let alone thought that! Especially since I am in love with Wendy Makkena...
please retract this whole thread.

I agree. I make the mistake of reading into a lot of things a bit too much, but I didn't associate that scene with any romantic inclination.

I brought him in last week - drunk and disorderly. But when I sobered up, he'd gone. Sorry.

reply

Yes, absolutely not. I mean, sheesh, Mary Robert being the epitome of innocence and purity would be among, if not THE most decent person ever. Regardless of whether or not one's societal perspectives agree with that type of "attraction", it is certainly not accepted among Catholic Christians. Think of the vow of chastity, which commands the refrain of all pertinent activity. Now Mary Robert is a noviciate, and has not taken the vows, but she appears dedicated and passionate about what she does.

Your imagination has definitley run amuck.

reply

I saw it too, Mielkeway8. And other similar instances throughout the movie, as well. You're not alone.

reply

I never thought of that at all during the scene and it definetly wasn't implied, she was just shy and was just trying to be nice to Whoopi's character and become friends. Nothing more

reply

for the record, i have raging hormones and i do tend to look into things too much

but im glad that atleast one other person thought they saw something

questions? comments? concerns? expressions of love?

It's a sad day when kindness, warmth and friendship between two people of the same gender must necessarily imply something sexual...

reply

I know this is a long time afterward, but...I did see some "creepiness" in that scene, but I think it was mainly because of Whoopi's weird faces she kept making. Mary Robert acted normal and sweet, but Whoopi IMO looked high or something during that entire conversation :)

reply

They DID like each other and I saw no hint of something 'going on' between them.

reply

Yes, the director's of the film decided to put some lesbian nuns sexual innuendo in this film despite it being a "U".

reply

This is RIDICULOUS.
