Why did Sister Mary Robert have a different habit than the rest?

That always puzzled me. I've never seen a habit like that on a nun.

She is a noviate and not a full nun yet.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

I thought she said she was a novice.

EDIT: I checked and she doesn't. I thought she did in one of the table scenes.

Actually, I think she's probably a postulant. Novices in orders that still wear the full habit, usually wear the same habit as a professed sister except with a white veil.

I agree, she was a postulant. In 'The Sound of Music' Maria wore a habit like that and she was a postulant.
