I think the cast performed the movie version.... I just paused the ending & under "Shout" it only list the writers (The Isley Brothers) not the performers but u can tell that's Whoopi voice on lead vocals.
shareYeah, I'm pretty sure it's the cast singing it. The lead certainly sounds like Whoopie, and in a couple of breaks you can definitely hear Kathy Najimy and Mary Wickes, and the fourth voice really sounds like Wendy Makkena's sing-in.
Makes sense, I would think, since they sang all the other songs in the film.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
