anyone know where i can download this song?

i'm pretty positive that the song that plays in the background in the scene where linda & steve are kissing on the couch is a paul westerberg remix. anyone know where i can download it? i'd really appreciate it. :]

You might be thinking of Mother Love Bone - Chloe Dancer (Crown of Thorns)

Are you talking about the scene where he comes to her house after she runs off when he offers to let her "park underground"? That's not Chole Dancer, it's probably is a Paul Westerburg orignal. No idea where to find it, It's probably one of those never-to-be-released snipits of original score.

bummer, too; 'cause if they released a Singles Soundtrack Part Two, i'd totally buy it! It's not a bad idea. They did it for Trainspotting!

Same here.

They need to release a score for this movie, if there is one.

I think the original poster is referring to the song which comes on right when Linda and Steve start kissing when she comes back to his place and they fall on the couch.

"What took you so long?"
" I was stuck in traffic"

it is a dynamite song and it definitely ain't on any Singles soundtrack out ever.
it starts with a acoustic guitar and soft piano but then immediately gets down with some nice reverb (?) electric guitars right when they start getting busy and roll on the garage door opener causing it to go up and down. Then the guitarist starts going nuts with some soloing and it fades as Matt Dillon comes on to describe the "new living arrangements happening".

Paul Westerberg did some original music for this movie, some of which has not been released outside of the movie itself.

From the FAQ:

Q:What song is playing when Steve and Linda are finally back together and they are kissing on the couch and laying on the garage door opener?

A:There are 3 possibilities: "Bastards of Young" by the Replacements (AVAILABLE), "Dice Behind The Shades" by Paul Westerberg (ALSO AVAILABLE), or a re-mix of a re-mix of "Waiting For Somebody" by Paul Westerberg (UNAVAILABLE).

My comments are in parenthesis.
