Possibly one of the worst movies ever made. For those who have seen it.. how about the basketball scene (where the big Chinese guy throws the ball behind his head and swishes it). I'd rather watch Treat Williams in The Substitute 9 or whatever they are on.. or possibly a new Operation Delta Force movie than this turd.
shareOh Shootfighter's classic, and I think the basketball scene (along with all of the martial arts sequences) was the reason why my brother's late friend Sergey loved watching those movies so much.
Oh dear ol' Sergey T. wanted to be an Estonian cross between Michael Jordan and Bruce Lee, by working out and practicing basketball free throws so much. In the end though he ended up more like Bruce and Brandon Lee, and Jordan's dad, if you know what I mean...
Anyway the craziest scene from Shootfighter had to be where the one guy tore the other guy's heart out, literally!
Golly, I love this movie. Pure classic material. But I'm one that enjoys good bad films.
And the basketball scene. I can't stop laughing everytime I see it. Listen to the background music in the bar fight when dude's like "I'd like to get me a piece of that". That cracks me up. I've got to get this on DVD cause my VHS copy is warn out.

I just watched this movie. Classic Bolo Yeung!! I thought it was funny but also had really brutal fights. I also liked that some of the ppl from Karate Kid were in it as well. This movie is like Karate Kid meets Bloodsport and Fight Club, but still very enjoyable.

shareOK, I'm totally with you, this is the worst movie ever made. Or equal with Thirteen ghosts. The plot is stupid, actors are awful, music.. :(, listen the aplodes of audience, only thing that didn't seem so bad was Shingos actor Bolo Yeung. But sometimes it's easy to shine from *beep* I don't know.
I just can't undestand how anyone can see anything good at this.
Anyone who says they don't like this film because of the bad acting and crap sound effects is missing the point some what i feel...
shareThis movie could've been alot better without the terrible music/sound effects and acting mainly by the woman but when I first hired this out on video about 10 years ago I loved it. As bad as alot of it is there's some cool stuff in this movie if you have the patience to wait for it. The fight between the massive black guy and the snake man has some great moments and all the fights toward the end of the movie are fairly well done.
One part that annoys the sh*t out of me is Ruben at the beginning of the movie is teaching a karate class and repeats about 3 times that "it's not just physical it's discipline" or something.
Put it this way if you're hiring a set of weekly DVDs or going through a bargain bin of $2 DVDs and come by this movie and you're a fan of movies like Bloodsport then pick this up and give it a go, I get more of a laugh out of the bad acting and music than it annoys me and like I said there's some cool bloody fights at certain latter points in the movie.
