Chesty Smith

They must have been bunk buddies.

I believe Smith and Magoo were roommates as evidenced by the shots of each of the dorm rooms looking out at the rain soaked DG. Each of the main roommate pairs here had one roommate with the back of the other (Rip/Dillon; Reece/DG; Connors/Mac) at various times during this movie so Smith having Magoo's back appears consistent. I agree that Chesty was annoying and over the top.

Uh, YES. When I originally saw this, I was like "why doesn't someone call him out on this?"


I was in high-school when this movie came out. If someone constantly ran their mouth like McGoo did and another person like Chesty was always there to take up for him, both of them would've been called to the carpet, but especially McGoo for not being man enough to fight his own battles.

Chesty was a brown shirt (muscle).

Ha! I was thinking the same thing when I last watched this movie. I think every single time Magoo was about to get his a55 kicked he was right there ready to rumble. I get that they stick up for their roomates, but damn, BA was acting like Magoo was his woman!

Magoo probably helped Chesty with his academic work, so being a type of bodyguard was what Chesty did for him in return. I agree that it was over the top.
