anyone else think this deserved best picture

honestly, didn't think to much of Unforgiven, preffered Clint's spaghetti westerns.

i really think this was the best movie of 1992, and i can't see why unforgiven was so highly rated.

Yeah "Scent Of A Woman" should have won the Oscar and Pacino really won a deserving oscar.I think previously in his career Academy has been unfair to him.He should have won more than 1 oscar. There are many actors and movies that are really deserving but are not rewarded.Like Al Pacino,Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.Same there are worse movies that won oscar like "Silence of the Lambs",No Country for Old Men" and "Slumdog Millionaire" and especially that song of Slumdog was below average and won Oscar. Why hollywood cannot appreciate it's own legends.

I've always had great affection for this film, but it's hardly a masterpiece. It borders on silly at times, such as the speeding-car scene, or the many sequences that suggest he somehow has an enhanced sense of smell by virtue of his blindness.

Not at all, in fact, Glengarry Glen Ross was a far better film with Pacino than this one.

reply

Definitely not. I don't think it deserved even a nomination.

It's an okay film if you turn your brain off - there is a place for those in the world - but they should not be winning Oscars.
