I have never seen this film. Is the song, I Go To Rio part of the score? Or, does anyone know where to find a copy of a Michael Nesmith album with the word "photon" as part of the title. It's been a long time, obviously I've forgotten details. Thanks for any information you may have for me!
shareYes, Rio by Michael Nesmith is on the soundrack. It's not part of the score though, as far as I can remember. In fact, I'm not even sure if there was a score for this film, I think it was just a load of really popular tracks. I bought it when it came out on CD and remember Ken Bran saying something about this in the blurb.

However, as an aside, I'm not sure I get the distinction between "soundtrack" and "score." I don't think the movie had an original "score" (ie, music written expressly for this film and this film only) and technically, "soundtrack" means all sounds recorded for the film, including dialog; of course, now it's come to mean "music from" a film (or stage play).
