this movie is great

Just watched it for the first time, and I thought it was pretty damn good. I loved the winter environment as the setting for an apocalypse, as opposed to desert. I actually disagree with the short plot description as a 'Mad Max' clone, as I didn't find it to be similar to Mad Max at all.

I'm actually seeing in Neon City, how it has some interesting ideas that probably influenced other movies and likely video games like Fallout. This feels like I'm watching Fallout 3 the movie at times, with the different cities, bounty hunters, city sherrifs about, black market drugs etc...

I suppose the similarities to Mad Max would be the journey on the armored up bus, fighting off the band of marauders on motorcycles. And, a little bit of Bartertown maybe? But, I think Neon City diverges from Mad Max by adding in the really cool idea of having the protagonists deal with environmental hazards too like those poison 'Xander Clouds' of noxious gas, and The Bright, which was some weird area of extreme radiation.

Fantastic movie.
