Ghosts of past, present, and future.
I haven't seen this movie, but alot of people say that the scenes of the ghosts of past, present, and future are very scary? What makes them so scary?
shareI haven't seen this movie, but alot of people say that the scenes of the ghosts of past, present, and future are very scary? What makes them so scary?
shareWell the ghost of christmas past is a little floating girl which is a bit eerie maybe. The ghost of christmas yet to come is the only one I would call scary, its like a silent spectre in robes, almost like a dementor if youve ever seen Harry Potter. The ghost of christmas present isnt scary at all though, hes just like a big jolly giant.
"Sookie"
I also heard that it's sad because Tiny Tim dies.
shareThats not true. Tiny Tim dies in the ghost of Christmas yet to comes foretelling , meaning that if Scrooge doesnt change his ways i.e give Bob cratchett a pay rise, then Tiny Tim will die. Fortunatly Scrooge does change his ways so Tiny Tim is saved.
"Sookie"
The film is a U I bought it for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. I'd say watch it, its a very good film.
The 3 main ghosts aren't too bad, the ghost of past is a little floaty light thing and its fine, the ghost of present reminded me of Hagrid in the HP films and only one I would say is is the ghost of yet to come, he reminds me of a dementor or death as he doesn't speak.

I didn't find them any more scary than any other set of ghosts in any other version of "A Christmas Carol".
I thought the smeary little girl who is the Ghost of Christmas Past was cool, and I ADORE the Ghost of Christmas Present--he reminds me of Santa Claus and I just want to hug him!
Even Gonzo, who plays Charles Dickens (part of what makes this version so cool--they quote from the original "A Christmas Carol" a lot), admits that the trip to the future might be scary for very young kids--again, no more than any other version of "A Christmas Carol"--but I don't think it's the ghost who's scary, but what Scrooge sees in the future if he doesn't do something to change it, and it had to be scary or he'd never have had a chance to make the choice whether he would change or not.
If you have very young kids that you want to see the movie, try "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol" or "A Flinstone Christmas Carol" or even "Mickey's Christmas Carol". None of them are that scary--sad, yes; scary, no. But if they're above the age of 5, definitely get them "A Muppets Christmas Carol"--I'll bet they and you will love it as much as we do.
