Why are so many people credited as Young Scrooge? I thought they were only two in the movie.
No, there's actually five.
First we see a little boy when Scrooge and the Ghost first come into the Scrooge's school (Young Scrooge #1).
Then Gonzo says that Scrooge watched as the years took their toll as the school ages and decays. Twice we see Ebenezer leave and come back older--first with an abacus and then with books (Young Scrooge #2 and #3)
Ebenezer leaves a third time and comes back as the version who Sam tells that he's about to become a man of business (Young Scrooge #4).
Finally, of course, we have the Ebenezer at the Fozziwig Christmas Party, the one who meets Belle. (Young Scrooge #5)

Oh, I thought that 4 and 5 were the same actors! Don't they look like? I don't remember.
No, Young Scrooge #4 looks like a teenager while Young Scrooge #5 looks like a young man. Although I thought that Young Scrooge #1-#3 looked a lot a like except a bit older--the producers did a great job in find actors who looked those parts.
It would've made more sense if #4 and #5 had been played by the same one, since it felt like the scene at Fozziwig came shortly after the one at the school. Although then again, most versions have a different actor playing the one at the school and the one at the the party.
Well, anyway, one of them looks a LOT like Michael Caine.
You're absolutely right--I was amazed how very much Young Scrooge #5 (the one who was with Belle) looked like a young Michael Caine--that was amazing casting!
