Region 2 - 50th Anniversary DVD

I know that the US 50th anniversary DVD contains both the cut widescreen, and uncut fullscreen versions of the film. Here in the UK there is also a 50th anniversary DVD available; does anyone know if it is the same, or it only contains the cut version? Would like to know before I buy it.

It only contains the widescreen, cut version. In the UK we rarely got 4:3 and widescreen versions packaged together.

Was it filmed in / for widescreen or is the DVD cropped, i hate it when they crop the top and bottom of the picture off thinking it makes a movie widescreen?

That's pretty impressive that a 50th anniversary edition is coming out when the movie came out in 1992. Just saying.
