'You're a little absent-minded, spirit.'

"No, I'm a large absent-minded spirit!"

My favorite moment from this version. It's impossible not to smile along Caine upon hearing the line.

The dialogue is great isn't it ?

It definitely is! I also love that they end it with the line "If you like this, you should read the book". Anything that encourages kids to read is a winner for me.

I like when the rats say "our assets are frozen" in the beginning. That's a good one

There are so many fantastically wonderful lines in this version. Although I particularly like that along with the Muppets' great lines, they also take so much from Charles Dickens' original version. Like someone said, one of the best lines is "If you like this, you should read the book." It's great that Michael Caine played the whole thing straight so the Muppets could have the funny lines.

As far as the rats go, my favorite is when Scrooge gives them buckets of coal. Funny how lots of kids think that to mean that Scrooge thought they were bad, when it was Scrooge's way of unfreezing their assets!
