does anybody remember seeing 'When love is gone' in the theater?

I remember the song too. In fact, I once watched a children's choir singing it as part of a school performance of "A Christmas Carol". There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

I have it on VHS and in that version "When love is gone" was in and that song that Tiny Tim sings in the Christmas present scene isn't in it.

I didn't knwo that the song that Tiny Tim sings was in the film till I got it on DVD

Anyone know the reason for the recut?

When love is gone was never in the original theatrical release. It was only ever on the vhs and DVD but not the 10th anniversary. Katzenberg deemed it boring for children to watch.

I've heard that on the DVD commentary, Brian Henson complains about this song getting cut out.

I remember the song and was really sad to find when it wasn't on the DVD. Shouldn't've been cut.
