This Movie shouldnt be banned

The BBFC have to get real and lift the ban on this it's just stupid it shouldnt even have been banned in the first place. The kids that murdered James Bulger were obviously not right in the head they tryed to blame the Chucky movies for there actions to and they were never banned and they shouldnt be and near should Mikey.

The point im making is killing is wrong no matter what age the person is that dose the killing and kids shouldnt be watching movies like mikey or any other horror movie or 18+ movies but they do watch them and we dont get many child serial killers due to them.

If your gonna be a serial killer its not cause of a movie you've seen it's cause there's something wrong with you up stairs.

It dosent really bother me that this is banned cause i have seen it anyway but its stupid that a good movie has to suffer cause of two idiots that killed a kid and one watches kiddie porn there obviously not normal people but if this Movie is banned so should alot of other serial killer movies it's only a movie.

This movie could probably be rated a 15 it's not that violant or distrubing as other movies out there that are not banned.

so what do you guys think do you agree with me and what's your thoughts ?

I do think the refusal to grant this film a certificate was probably somewhat reactionary and based on hysteria rather than any actual potential harm the film might do.

The situation isn't quite as simple as it being 'banned' though. Basically you can't release a film without a BBFC rating, and back in 1992 they refused it one, but the people who own the film are perfectly free to re-submit it whenever they like. I am pretty certain that by now they would grant it an uncut 18 certificate, if not a 15. But obviously whoever owns this film has just decided not to do so, presumably because they just don't think there's enough people who'd buy it over here. It's now a commercial decision and not a censorship one I'd say.

If you really want to see it released over here, then the best thing to do would be to write to whoever it is that owns the distribution rights for the UK.
