Have you seen the movie Joshua. That's could be very close to your presequel although he has different name. I can't remember what his name was at the end of Mikey but it was not Mikey.

There should be but this movie was messed up cause of it being banned the ban was pretty stupid the movies not even that bad.

i imagine, a competent forensic team realize mikey isn't dead and they start putting the pieces together to capture and convict. i always imagined the sequel as more of a crime/thriller/drama than a straight ahead horror.

I always thought that Mikey actually did lose his memory, and he went on to become a serious Hacker named Dade "Zero Cool" Murphy (as seen in the movie Hackers). Then, as he grew up he remembered parts of his past and became a serial killer named Lucas Harper leading up to the movie Mindhunters where he meets his end. That's what I got from watching those three movies at least.

This boy would definitely become a serial killer no doubt about it. This kid was creepy I mean at nine(that is the age they said he was) he was already video recording his kills. That is something only the most depraved humans do.

A sequel to Mikey? It would be about 5 minutes long, including opening and closing credits. Mikey tries to pull his craziness on an adult of average intelligence. The grown adult, not being a dumbass, easily overpowers a 12 year old boy and beats him to death. The end.

Sequels would probably be like the Stepfather movies but with an adopted kid instead of a stepdad.
