I just finished this movie and LOVE it. If you really liked this one, watch Awakenings with Robert DeNiro and Robin Williams. It's just as good. And DeNiro should have won his third oscar for that movie.

It made me really, really sad--to see this wonderfully bright and alive kid degenerate so badly (and that was just a movie!) Incidentally, I saw it during staff orientation week at a camp for the handicapped that I worked at one summer. I think it was a good way to bring out empathy towards the campers we were about to meet.
