Film?

I just recently watched Lorenzo's Oil thinking it was a film that I've been searching for but it turns out that it wasn't the film. The film I'm searching for is about a boy who I think he has cancer and befriends his next door neightbour who is an elderly man. The boy and the man become close friends and the man finds this blue liquid within his back yard and gives it to the boy. The boy eventually takes the blue liquid and soon finds that his cancer has almost gone.

I know I haven't given much information about the film. However this is all that I can remember about the storylines.

I can't remember who is in the film or what it is called, so if anyone can help or knows the film can they please post a comment as I have been searching for this film for about a year.
