Although I was five when this movie came out, I don't think it did all that well at the box office. Hey, I didn't hear about it until today when my friend mentioned a Rodney Dangerfield soccer movie.

I'm sure there is a small cult following for this film, especially Brandis fans. The message board doesn't need to be big in order to have a cult following.

This movie is AWESOME! Its hilarious and I used to watch it every Friday (when I was 10) now (Im 25) and I watch it at least once a month! Rodney Dangerfield is hilarious

Back in the 90's, this movie did have a small cult following like another poster mentioned. It was movie that was popular in the rental business. Teen girls loved Jonathan Brandis back then and I remember my older sister and her friends watching Ladybugs at get togethers. I remember it was played quite a bit on cable back in the 90's.
shareYeah it was very popular on VHS/cable, it seemingly played every week on one station or another. My brother and I loved it when we were kids, and it's still funny today! Obviously for different reasons though...
