so what's up with Bishop's dad?
He was just sitting there staring into space. What was wrong with him and what was the point of that scene? Discuss.
shareBishop's dad was sexually abused while in prison. The weight of that experience scarred both father and son emotionally. That scene gave you some of the backstory into Bishop's inner rage, and his quest for respect on the street at all costs. It was a well known fact on the street that his dad was a prison yard hoe- so to speak. So that was an awful burden for Bishop to carry on the streets where respect was everything.

Even if it wasn't true, I'd still get upset. So it could have been true, maybe not. But it seems that the worst way to get 'it' is from an inmate..No Mercy baby..lol movies never make it a pleasant scene. I dread going to prison more than anything.
