Foster parents

Anyone think that the foster parents were really treated like dirt? I was a bit miffed at the social worker who reviewed this talking about meddlesome foster parents. It would seem to me they are looked down upon by social workers with God complexes who need everyone to know that the social worker runs the show. I mean, you raise them, feed them, show affection, take care of their schooling. This can go on for years. Then you have a bunch of social workers telling you you're nothing to them and that you better know your place. I'd never be a foster parent. The only way they'd want you to be one is if you are aloof and show nothing to kids. Just bring back orphanages, then.

Does anyone know if the real life foster parents in this protrayal did actually break up?

Are you referring to the peppers or the aunt and uncle?

Amen!!!!! I think it is stupid for kids to be placed in a safe Haven only to be jerked back to their bio-parents who may or may not succeed in staying clean, sober or cure of their 'mental illness'.

The real foster mom was Paula Mick and her husband was Larry. You can google and find articles about the case. Paula was on 60 Minutes and other talk shows. She and her husband did split up shortly after losing the kids, due to all the stress.
