Boy at the end of the film?

Spoilers ahead obviously for the end.

When Helen is playing with her son in the field, who is the other boy that's with them. He looks about he could be 8-10 years old which puts him out of the running to be a son of Margaret and Henry or Charles and Dolly. Anyone know?

The boy's name is Tom.

It has the scene in the film that you're asking about. The film doesn't really explain Tom's character like in the book.

Yes, it does clear things up. I assumed the older boy was "diddums."

Isn't he the same boy Mrs. Avery showed the sword to earlier?
