WTF?
I saw this last night and it left me feeling cold (not scared or anything like that!).
It starts off like a kind of TV movie ghost film and stays that way for about an hour.
Then things take an absolutely bizzarro turn when we see that Mr Grosso, or whatever his name is. I was like "is this the same movie?" That scene looks like it was shot by another director altogether!
It's also the most horrible scene in the movie.
Up to that point, you got a few flashbacks with burnt corpses, talking pizzas, general haunted house stuff.
But, if you haven't seen this movie, this is what happens.
The baddy of the flick (Burke)wants the "House" so he can sell it to the local power plant owner (Mr Grosso)who wants to knock it down for a chemical dump. Burke goes to Mr Grosso, who is a fat midget surrounded by shades-wearing body guards, to explain why he hasn't succeeded in aquiring the "House".
It turns out Mr Grosso has some kind of ailment which requires him to jam a tube into a trachiotomy(?) hole in his throat to drain out an excess of flob and/or bile. We see Mr Grosso coughing and bubbles of bile form at his mouth while the main baddy (Burke) and his cronies almost throw up. The flob goes through the tube into a pump and then drips out into a beaker. This is gross enough! Then, as punishment to Burke for not aquiring the "House", Grosso gets his cronies to hold Burke down and then they pour the beaker full of flob into his mouth. We don't actually see this happen but hear the screams of Burke. It's so effing rank.
Not really a good movie at all as it switches gear too sharply but still remains dull.
Quite funny when Burke's goons turn on each other though: "SNAKES! BUGS!"
"Not The Gold!!" - Augustus Steranko.
