Do you think this is the worst

The movie begins great.A scene in the hospital when a guy blows on pieces but the other part of the movie sucks. Some stupid story about some stupid girl and Pinhead in disco. The cenobites are funny and stupid. The worst make-up effects. The whole story is awful. Here is my list from Best to Worst:
1.Hellbound
2.Hellraiser
3.Inferno
4.Bloodline
5.Hellseeker
6.Hell on Earth

I like this one, despite some really bad moments and bizarre additions to the mythology.

I used to think "Inferno" was the worst one, but then I had the misfortune to discover "Hellworld" and "Revelations", films that not only trivialize the mythology but make it into a joke of Tommy Wiseau proportion.

I've only seen 1-4 sadly, but plan to see the later ones soon.

I dont agree with the people who say Bloodline is such a horrible movie, they never seem to back it up. From what Ive seen the only reason they seem to dislike it is because it's not as dark as the others. There's a more expansive quality, that man can overcome. For what it was, Bloodline to me had a good story, good development of story and characters, finally some background we'd waited FOUR MOVIES TO GET! and a decent ending that wasn't over the top.

I liked Blood Line, not as much as part 2 but better then part 3.

The fact that the Director took his name off the movie I take with a grain of salt. Just because he did not like it does not a bad film make. To dislike a film for that reason makes you a sheep.

Artists are known to be the most critical of their works, I should know I am one. But, I am open to the perspective others have on my work. Alot of people like paintings or songs of mine I hate, that's just the way it is. We have a vision and are too close to the finished work to see what they see, like faces pressed up against the glass.

I wonder why they didn't like it. I know it had some problems, but I found the movie had more story and character development then any of the other Hellraisers, and after waiting so long for spome backstory, it was nice to finally get some, but hey maybe that's why they didn't like it. Maybe they wanted to keep it a total mystery forever. Kind of like George Lucas demystifying what the force is in the last trilogy which to me wasn't even worth making.

Well who writes home about Hellraiser anyway?

Thanks alot. I'm working on getting Hellseeker and the first movie, then we just wait for Deader and Hellworld I suppose.

Alot of people have seen Deader, I wish I could find it, but no one i know has it yet.

Is it the worst?
In a word, yes.
In two word, god yes.
three? dear lord, YES.

Uh, don't worry, I'll stop now :S

reply

No, the 5th Hellraiser, Inferno, is the worst.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

Hell on Earth is totally ridiculous but I like it better than all the following sequels due to the entertainment factor. Sure it's dumb and jumped the shark but I still found it fun. Bloodline sorta tried to bring things back in order but it ended up being crap anyway. I haven't enjoyed any of the straight to video sequels that came after.

I just now saw Hellworld. It was terrible! I haven't seen all of the sequels but I can safely say Hellworld was so bad, I don't know how anything could be worse!

Has anyone ever told you you're as boring as you are ugly?

reply

I'd say either Hellworld or Revelations are the worst overall, while Hellraiser III is the worst of the more well-financed, theatrically-released movies.

reply

This was a blatant attempt to milk the franchise that seems to have been made by people with no concept of what the first movie was really about.

reply

I think the producer and director were more responsible for the crappiness of it, because the writers wrote and directed Hellraiser II and in tone, it's like night and day by comparison.

reply

This film is a masterpiece compared to the absolutely dreadful, and boring piece of crap known as Hellraiser Inferno.

reply

Got that right, that film almost put me to sleep. Even Hellraiser Revelations was better then that crapfest.

reply

I don't understand all the hate for Inferno. Whether it was faithful to the themes and the mythology of the series is debatable, but judging it on its own merits, I'd say it's far better than the schlocky, loud, obnoxious, MTV-style Hellraiser III and the horrifically cheap and rushed Revelations.

reply

I think Hellworld is the worst. I don't count Revelations as a Hellraiser movie...
