Serious flaw (Solved)

One serious flaw in Hellraiser 3 is the Boiler Room club scene when Pinhead kills everyone in the club... the problem is that Pinhead by rule only comes for those who open the box, and never kills the innocent... the scene in the club seems to break all the carefully laid out rules of the Hellraiser mythology, and effectively reduces Pinhead down to a supernatural psychotic who lacks the nuance and subtlety and depth of perverted ethics we learned to love from the last two films... remember, he doesn't kill the girl in part 2 saying, "It is not hands that summon us. It is desire." and this was also carefully laid out in part 1 as well.. the boiler room scene in part 3 was simply the new film makers getting bored and wanting to throw in more gore for gore's sake... that's it. It really has nothing to do with the story, and actually hurts the overall quality of the film imho.

You really watched the film?

When Pinhead attacks the boiler room he is separated from the Elliot Spencer soul. Only the evil side and the rage is represented by this Pinhead, so it makes sense in the story of this movie.

That said, beside I like some scenes, I think Hellraiser III is a huge downhill in the series compared to the first two, because of its weak story and campy tone.

Ahhh, I was wondering why Pinhead was acting so giddy... kind of like when Spock feels emotions on Star Trek.

In a sense, Pinhead is like Frank. He wasn't summoned by the box this time, he was resurrected with blood and victims. He's like a fugitive and so the rules of Hell no longer apply to him.

Ya that's right... of course! Thank you
