It is Billy Holiday but the song is called "The Very Thought of You" :)
The very thought of you...
And I forget to do...
Those little ordinary things...
That everyone ought to do...
I'm living in a kind of daydream...
I'm happy as a queen...
And foolish though it may seem...
To me that's everything...
The mere idea of you...
The longing here for you...
You'll never know how slow the moments go...
Till I'm near to you...
I see your face in every flower...
Your eyes in stars above...
It's just the thought of you...
The very thought of you my love.
I see your face in every flower...
Your eyes in stars above...
It's just the thought of you...
The very thought of you my love.

I believe Alphaville made the original

I really don't think that's possible, seeing how Billie Holiday was about 50-60 years BEFORE Alphaville.....

If you mean who made the original recording of 'The Very Thought Of You' it was Al Bowlly, with the Ray Noble Orchestra in 1934.

Rod Stewart sang the song get it?

once again ROD STEWART

Well the well-known song "Forever Young" was performed by Alphaville, but it has nothing to do with his movie. (it is from 1984 and was not used here. ;)

Even Dylan had a song named forever young. Quite a popular concept.

Alphaville has the recently popular version: "Forever young, I want to be forever young . . ."

Then I guess Billy Holiday and Dylan

The lovely Lady Day is correct. Billie Holiday sang The Very Thought of You. If you like this song you should look into more of her music, she has a beautiful, unique voice. Madeleine Peyroux is a contemporary artist that has a similar voice, though is no match to Billie.

I think the OP was asking who sang the "forever young" song in the movie (the one at the end) The one written by Bob Dylan (i think)... e.g. "forever young, forever young, may you stay...forever young".

At least I hope thats what they re looking for because thats what I'm looking for too, lol.
